The Agent A Short Story The Writer Block Book 1 edition by samantha jacobey Literature Fiction eBooks
This is a super short story, but it wasn't at all short on story. I loved so many things about it. Having read almost all of Ms. Jacobey's works, it was a joy to see so many of them pop up in this tale, and certainly leaves questions as to the orgins of these other stories. A reader can't help but wonder how much of this is autobiographical, and how much is such fantastically written fiction that it seems that it could be autobiographical. Much of it reads as if it could almost be an interview with this prolific author, which again brings questions as to whether it is, or if it is a great tease of fiction. I thoroughly enjoyed it and most highly recommend it to any fans and readers of Ms. Jacobey's.My standards for short stories are much different than those for novels, because they are such different creatures. I personally love short stories to leave us with more questions than answers, and this one definitely did!

The Agent A Short Story The Writer Block Book 1 edition by samantha jacobey Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
This story discusses the relationship between Sam, a writer, and David, an agent who meet for lunch to discuss him representing her. Sam is after someone who loves her books as much as she does and wants to work hard for her!
A great story about being proud of what you do.
A fun short story that gives you an insight into the mind of an author. Thought provoking and a bit worrying.
This was a nice little story, but I guess I'm missing something. I'm not sure if I was expecting her to reveal something about her self, or if I just want more ... But it's a solid four star short with a great message.
I enjoyed this short story from Samantha Jacobey. It definitely made me think and wonder exactly what's was going on with the woman in the story. I kinda like that none of my questions were answered.
I recommend this story because it leaves you guessing. It forces the reader to think. Very interesting story.
Interesting short story but just a bit too short for where I felt the story was going.
This story centers around an author who is looking to hire an agent to get her books published beyond the Indie market. However this author has issues with her life, her children, and a not so pleasant past. She also hides a secret and I can only explain the secret as clairvoyant. I may be wrong so you will have to make your own judgment.
I just completed the short story The Agent. The writer in the story is named Sam and Sam persuaded an agent to meet her for lunch while she attempts to explain that her writing is subconsciously linked to her life story as it was or how she wanted it to be. She seems to have a premonition of her death at some time in the future. She is attempting to persuade the agent to fight for her book whatever happens to her in the future. The short story was interesting but I really didn't understand it very well. I am not sure whether I will read anymore of this author's writing.
I really enjoyed this short story when it was a part of the Treasured Memories Anthology and was so hoping it would come out on it's own, and here it is. The Agent took me through a wide array of emotions and left me wondering if there are authors out there that look at life the same way the main character, Sam, does? I was riveted to this story idea because I could relate to what Sam was going through in certain parts of my own life.It really has kind of an eerie quality to it.
Ms. Jacobey's writing just draws you into the characters and the story and has you not wanting to put the book down until you're finished.
